Jo ann Bray

contemporary Figurative Artist

Painting has been my passion from early on. Borrowing my father’s paints, I completed my first oil painting when I was six years old -- it was of the Flintstones. Now I create oil paintings with a focus on people and their everyday encounters.

Currently I'm an active member of the Foothills Art Gallery and study art at the San Diego Art Academy. I'm passionate about creating pieces that showcase people in their everyday moments, vulnerabilities, stories, emotions and individuality. My hope is that when viewing my work people relate to the subjects and moments in my paintings and continue the story with their own imagination.
